Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can try Amateur or Pro free for 7 days, with up to 10 boards while you try. A card is needed to start, nothing is charged until day 8, and cancelling before then costs nothing. There is one free trial per account, and one per card.

Choose the plan to try
On the pricing page, under Amateur or Pro, choose the free trial. You can pick monthly or yearly: that is what you will pay from day 8.

Add a card
Checkout takes your card and your billing address and charges nothing today. It shows the date the first payment will be taken, and how much it will be.

Use every tool of the plan
While you trial you have every tool of the plan you chose, and up to 10 boards.

Keep it, or cancel
Do nothing and the plan carries on: your card is charged on day 8. To stop, open Settings, then the Account tab, then Billing, and press Cancel plan before then. You keep the trial to its end and pay nothing.
Who can trial
The free trial is for new accounts, once. It is one trial per account whichever plan it is for, so an account that has trialled Amateur cannot then trial Pro. It is also one per card: a trial started on a card that has already had one on another account is cancelled straight away, and nothing is charged.
Team plans have no trial.
Boards during and after the trial
A trial holds 10 boards. Once the plan is paid for, Amateur and Pro hold as many as you like. If you cancel, you go back to Beginner, which holds 25, and boards that use paid tools lock until you upgrade; nothing is deleted.
If the first payment is declined
The plan pauses at once and the paid tools lock until the payment goes through. Fix payment in Settings pays what is owed and switches the plan back on.
Questions
Do I need a card for the free trial?
Yes. Nothing is charged for 7 days, and if you cancel before day 8 nothing is charged at all.
Can I trial Amateur and then Pro?
No. There is one free trial per account, whichever plan it is for. You can move from Amateur to Pro at any point once you are paying.
What happens at the end of the trial?
The plan you chose is charged on day 8, monthly or yearly as you picked, and carries on until you cancel.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. Beginner is free for as long as you want it, with no card. The trial is only for trying Amateur or Pro.
