About the lineup builder.
Formations, the tilted view, privacy, and what happens in the studio.
All questions Is the lineup builder free?
Yes, and it needs no account. Pick a formation, type your players in, choose a kit and a pitch, and download the picture as a PNG. Your lineup is kept in your own browser until you start again, and the picture carries the Total Football Studio mark in the corner.
Which formations can I use?
All twenty-five of the studio's formations: four at the back, like the 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2, three and five at the back, like the 3-5-2, 3-4-3 and 5-3-2, and two from the archive, the WM and the 2-3-5. Change the shape at any time and your players keep their names and numbers, each moved to the same position in the new shape wherever it has one.
What is the tilted view?
The pitch leaned back the way a television camera sees it, with every player standing up on the grass. Switch between Flat and Tilted whenever you like, and stand the pitch upright for a phone. The picture you download keeps the view you chose and turns the pitch to fit the shape you pick: landscape, square or a story.
What does Open in the studio do?
It carries your lineup into Total Football Studio as a new board, once you have signed in to a free account. There you can add phases and press Play to move the whole team, draw passes and runs, and send it as a link that opens on any phone. Player names on a studio board are part of Pro: on another plan the board opens locked, and you can keep a copy without the names.
See what the studio does Do you see the names I type?
No. The lineup is built and the picture is made in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us. If you open it in the studio it is saved to your account like any other board, where only you can see it.
Is the session planner free?
Yes, and it needs no account, for the PDF too. Plan a session of up to eight blocks, print it or save it as a PDF, and download any block as a PNG. Up to ten plans are kept in your own browser, and the printed sheet and the picture carry the Total Football Studio mark.
Open the session planner Which drills are in the session planner?
Sixteen drills (two warm-ups, three rondos, three possession games, four small-sided games, two finishing drills and two cool-downs) and three ready sessions built from them. Each drill comes on its own grid with the players set out, the rules, the coaching points and a progression, and everything in it can be changed: the grid size, the players, the kit, the arrows and the words.
How do I get a PDF of my session plan?
Press Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. The sheet is A4, in a compact layout or one with bigger boards, and lists every block with its board, its timing, the grid size, the rules, the coaching points and the progression. The boards are drawn rather than photographed, so they stay sharp when the PDF is zoomed.
What happens when I open a session in the studio?
Once you have signed in to a free account, every block is saved as a board in a folder named after your session, and the first one opens. There you can add phases and press Play, and send any board as a link. Cones, goals and other kit on a studio board are part of Amateur, and so are dribble arrows: on another plan those boards open locked, and you can keep a copy without them.
See what the studio does Do you see my session plans?
No. Your plans are built, drawn and printed in your browser and kept there, and nothing you type is sent to us. If you open a session in the studio, its boards are saved to your account like any other, where only you can see them.
