The football tactics board
that moves.
Total Football Studio is the animated tactics board for football professionals. Pose the board at one moment, pose it at the next, and the movement between the two comes back as film.

What it is
A board you pose, not a timeline you keyframe.
Other tools make you keyframe a timeline. A coach draws where everybody is, rubs it out and draws where they go. The Studio keeps that gesture and animates the rest.
-
Pose the phase
Pick a pitch view and a formation, then drag the players where the ball takes them.
-
Add the next one
Write the sentence that explains it. Arrows, runs, pressing cues and danger zones go on top.

Share the film
A link that plays on any phone with no app and no account, a video file for everywhere else, or a Team Talk with your voice over it.
Start from an empty pitch or from one of 14 ready-made boards, matches and sessions, open in one click and yours to change.

Where it came from
It was built to make the videos.
Total Football started from a simple frustration: the best tactical ideas in the game are explained with a still image and an arrow, or with a clip that cuts away before the interesting part happens. So the breakdowns were drawn instead of filmed, and the board that drew them kept getting better until it was worth handing over. That is the Studio.
Every breakdown is animated from scratch on a scale pitch. Players are counters, the ball is locked to whoever has it, and a camera follows the action the way your eye would. Because it is drawn rather than filmed, the ten players away from the ball are always on screen, and they are usually the ones doing the interesting work.
It also means a moment can be held while a principle is stated, rewound, and run a second time with exactly one variable changed. That two-takes device is impossible with footage and it is the clearest way to show that a decision, not an accident, produced the outcome.
Nothing is borrowed from a broadcaster. That is partly a matter of principle and partly a practical one: the football channels that live on clipped footage spend their lives being taken down. It is also why the distances on a board are checkable. A shape drawn on a 105 by 68 metre pitch is measurable; a shape guessed from a camera angle is not.

which is also why nothing published here has ever been claimed
And the rules came from measurements
Every editorial rule on this channel came out of a number rather than a hunch. When the data said the technique format was not working, it was abandoned, even though it was easier to make, and the whole analysis was published, losing numbers and all.

What it publishes
Four things, one board.
Everything below is drawn on the same scale pitch, by the same operation, with the same rule about footage. The board came first and the rest grew out of needing a better one.

The writing
The ideas between the systems
8 pieces on the things a single diagram cannot show: the vocabulary people use interchangeably and should not, the sums that decide a build-up, and what the numbers said about our own output.
Read the writing
There is a fifth, and it is not about tactics: Total Stats prices matches with a rated model and publishes every call, won or lost, free on Telegram. Same rule as the boards: the number goes out with the working behind it.
Who publishes it
A company, with a number.
Total Football is published by NAURRA AI LTD, registered in Cyprus, company number HE 493756, at 10 Kyriakou Matsi, LILIANA COURT, 4th Floor, Nicosia 1082. The same operation draws the videos, writes this site, builds the Studio and runs the model behind Total Stats. It is the day job rather than a side project.
Corrections are welcome and they get made. The boards are drawn to scale, so if a distance or a shape on one of them is wrong it is a fact that can be checked and fixed rather than an opinion to be defended. Email totalfootball@naurra.ai.
Before you open it
The questions people actually ask.
What is Total Football Studio?
Total Football Studio is a football tactics board tool that hands you the exact canvas our videos are drawn on. Pick a pitch, pick one of twenty-five formations and eleven counters stand in it. Move them to where the ball takes them, and the built-in animation engine turns the movement between the two positions into film.
See the Studio How much does the Studio cost?
It has a free plan. Beginner costs nothing, needs no card and never expires, and has the whole animation engine with 15 boards on the web. Amateur (from €8.99 a month) and Pro (from €15.99 a month) add more tools. It runs in the browser, and the iPhone and iPad app is free on the App Store.
Compare the plans Is there an iPhone or iPad app?
Yes. TotalFootball Studio is free to download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and needs iOS 17 or later. Sign in with the same account you use on the web and every system, sequence and squad you have made is already on it, on the same plan. Each month in the app, the free plan makes 2 new boards, 2 sequences and 5 squad players, Amateur 20, 8 and 20 (doubled as an early offer), and Pro as many as you like.
See the app Do you use real match footage?
Not in our videos and library pages: every frame is drawn. A broadcast clip shows you one camera angle of one moment, and the four players who moved at the same time are usually outside the frame, which is the part you actually needed to see. Drawing it means the whole shape is visible at once and the distances are geometrically real rather than guessed from a camera angle. In the Studio, a coach can put their own frame from a real match under a phase with Match Picture.
Who makes it?
Total Football is published by NAURRA AI LTD, a company registered in Cyprus, number HE 493756. The same operation draws the videos, writes this site, builds the Studio and runs the Total Stats model. You can reach it at totalfootball@naurra.ai.
Every other question is answered on one page, from what the Studio costs to what happens to your data.
Where to find it
80,000+ and growing.
New breakdowns go out on social first and land in the library here afterwards, laid out so you can read them at your own pace instead of at twenty seconds a system. Between them the four platforms watched 30M+ views in the last 3 months.
Or start on the board itself: open the Studio. There is a free plan, and nothing to install.
