Online football tactics board
Put your team on a real pitch in your browser. Pose each phase, press Play and the movement is worked out for you, then send it as a link that plays on any phone.
Free to start, no card. Nothing to install.
5 phases, one film
A whole tactics board, in a browser tab.
Not a picture of a pitch to drag dots around. A board that knows the distances, keeps your players joined to their runs, and plays the move as film.
-
Nine pitch views, to scale
Match, set-piece and training boards drawn to the real dimensions of a pitch, so a distance you show is a distance your players will run.
On every plan -
Twenty-five formations
Your shape and theirs in one press, from the 4-3-3 and the 4-2-3-1 to a back three and a back five.
On every plan -
Phases that play as film
Pose one moment, add a phase, pose the next. Press Play and the movement between them is worked out for you.
On every plan -
A tilted, broadcast pitch
Lean the pitch back like a television camera, with the players standing up on the grass. Pose flat, play it tilted.
On every plan -
Passes and runs
Arrows that hold on to the players they join, and walk with them into the next phase. Carry, press and lofted-ball arrows come with Amateur and Pro.
On every plan -
Zones, blocks and text
Shade the space the move is trying to reach, thread a block through a back line, and write the coaching point on the grass.
On Amateur and Pro -
Seventeen pieces of training gear
Cones, poles, hurdles, ladders, mini goals and mannequins, every one sized in metres against the grid.
On Amateur and Pro -
A link, a video or a PDF
A seven-character link that plays on any phone with no account, an MP4 made in your browser, pictures, and a sheet to print.
On every plan -
Your squad, by name
Names and photos on the counters, a player card in your kit, and the same lineup across every phase.
On Pro
Three things to do. The rest is worked out.
There is no timeline and there are no keyframes. You pose the board the way you would at a whiteboard, and the studio plays the difference.
Wherever you coach from.
One account, the same boards everywhere. Build at the desk, step through it on the grass, and send it to players who have nothing installed at all.

Build a lineupFourteen finished systems
The boards our published films were made from, open in the real studio with no account. Step through every phase, press Play, and see how each one is built.
Open The 2-3-5 Build-UpTo build your own, sign in with Google or Apple. The free plan keeps 25 boards on the web, and Amateur and Pro add the rest of the kit bag.
Do I have to install anything?
No. The Studio runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download to build, play or share a board. If you would rather have it in its own window, there is a free app for Mac and Windows, and for a touch screen there is the free iPhone and iPad app. All of them use the same account and the same boards.
Do I need an account?
To build a board, yes: sign in with Google or Apple and you are on it. To watch one, no: a board somebody shares with you opens on any device with no app, no account and no sign-in at the other end.
Does the Studio cost anything?
It has a free plan. Beginner costs nothing, needs no card and never expires, and has the whole animation engine with 25 boards on the web. Amateur (from €8.99 a month) and Pro (from €15.99 a month) add more tools. It runs in the browser, and the iPhone and iPad app is free on the App Store.
Compare the plans Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and best through the app: TotalFootball Studio for iPhone and iPad is free to download on the App Store and built for a touch screen. The web Studio works in a phone browser too, but its editor wants about nine hundred pixels of width, so on a small screen it says so once and then lets you carry on anyway. Finished boards play perfectly on any phone.
See the iPhone and iPad app Where is my work saved?
In your own browser first, within a keystroke of every change, then synced up to your account behind that. A dropped connection in the middle of a session cannot cost you the board, because the local copy is the one that was always authoritative.
