Sessions: planning your training sessions in your account

Short answer

Where do I keep my training session plans?

In Sessions, in the portal beside Your team. Every session is saved to your account as you change it and filed by the day it is for. Beginner keeps 5 sessions; Amateur and Pro keep as many as you like.

Step by step

  1. Start a session

Press New session and start blank, or from one of the ready sessions. Your team and your name from your profile are filled in for you.

  2. Build it block by block

Add drills from the library or draw your own: every block is a real board on a grid drawn to scale, with its minutes, the rules, the coaching points and a progression. It saves to your account as you go; the dot by Sessions says Saved.

  3. Give it a date

Pick the day it is for and the session files itself under Coming up, then under Done once the day has passed. Without a date it waits in Not dated yet.

  4. Take it to the grass

Print it on A4, or save it as a PDF. Or open its blocks in the studio as boards that move.

Finding a session again

The next session leads the page. Search finds a session by its name or by the drill it starts with. Duplicate copies a session without its date, ready for next week, and Delete has an Undo.

Players from your squad

If you keep a squad in Your team, Squad sets the number of players to it in one press. On Pro, a session with a date also offers Available that day: the players not injured, ill, banned or away that day.

Sessions on the season plan

On Pro, each day of the season plan lists that day's sessions and opens them, and a day still to come with none offers Plan the session, already dated. The register for that day offers the session's minutes, so the training load needs nothing typed twice.

Your staff

A coach on your staff who can see your boards sees your sessions too, and can print them or copy them to their own Sessions. One who can change your boards can plan and change your sessions. If two of you save the same session at once, nothing is written over: the second one chooses which version to keep.

Plans from the free session planner

Plans you made on the free session planner in the same browser are offered once, the first time you open Sessions. Bring them in and they are in your account on every device.

Questions

Can I keep my training session plans in my account?

Yes, in Sessions, in the portal beside Your team. Each session is the session planner with your drills, grids, timings and coaching points, saved to your account as you change it and filed by the day it is for. Print it on A4, open its blocks as boards that move, and share it with your staff. Beginner keeps 5 sessions; Amateur and Pro keep as many as you like.

How do I get a PDF of my session plan?

Press Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. The sheet is A4, in a compact layout or one with bigger boards, and lists every block with its board, its timing, the grid size, the rules, the coaching points and the progression. The boards are drawn rather than photographed, so they stay sharp when the PDF is zoomed.
